Big Problem...

There is a big problem on the Sw version of controller from 9.6 to 9.7.2.0.15 upgrade on the AP's 2741 and 2942. It causes to destroy complately on the AP's. Destroyed AP's never returns to default IP in case of Hard reset.

One customer ordered addi, tonaly 25 items R300. The controller was working with SW release 9.6 and there was 11 items 2741 and 4 items 2942 on the network. The system has 50 licenses. We upgraded the controller to Release 9.7.2.0.15 to connect the 25 items AP's R300. This causes to complately destroy AP's 2741 and 2942 all on the network.

Afaik 2942s and 2741s are unofficially supported only to about 9.6 or 9.5. The upgrade screws them up.

we have to add to the network 25 items R300 model. R300 doesn't work on Rls.9.6 or 9.5. Therefore we upgraded from 9.6 to 9.7.
The officially documants or technic specs says that 2942s and 2741s works on the release 9.7

I don't know if a higher fw changes anything, maybe someone from Ruckus can clarify but if you look at it 2942 and 2741 are archaic APs anyway. The only vertical I can imagine they would be useful at its warehousing and only if the customer is using archaic handhelds but even there it's marginal.
