Another - not enough electricity power’ question

Richard_NZ

I have a R710 and a R650 connected to a TP-Link PoE switch SG1016PE.

The Unleashed gui tells me that ‘not enough electricity power’. It was all good before a power outage and now I get that plus the wireless speed in the house had dropped dramatically. I have read I have to switch from auto to 802.3at but I have no clue how and where to try that? Can anyone help with this please.

Hello  Richard_NZ ,

You could try manually setting the PoE for the access points to the maximum power that the switch can provide to ensure compatibility.

Power Limitations by PoE Mode and AP Model

In my experience, Unleashed has always misidentified the PoE when connected to a PoE+ source. Network equipment should not have an issue detecting that it is connected to sufficient PoE power, especially if negotiating PoE+. If it can't detect the available wattage from a PoE source, it should assume full power until it senses a power issue. When will a fix be released to address this problem with PoE+ APs?

Ok - I found a way to do that by following the above advice. Thank you. Now the orange warning triangles have gone. I still have issues and I'll post these in another topic.
