Zone Director 1200 Best Security Practices

I would like to know if there is any guide or resource that indicates good security configuration practices on a Zone Director 1200 device.

Hi Elias,

Could you confirm if you are just referring ZD's security or the entire WiFi security?

In general there is no best practice security document is available, however, below are some major points.

1. Make sure ZD is not on same VLAN as user VLAN (Keep the ZD on network management VLAN).
2. To improve further access security, enable management ACL on ZD so that only allowed users can access it.
3. Make sure ZD is on the latest recommended version.
4. For WiFi security, make sure no open SSIDs are used.
5. If possible, use 802.1X EAP-TLS for best client data security.
