I have an R710 that has been restored to its factory settings. How can I associate it with a ZD5100 controller? I logged into the web interface of R710 and set the controller address and restarted it, but it was not associated. What should I do?

Hi @cangqingse,
Thank you for reaching out to us via FORUM.
Could you please help me with firmware version of both ZD & R710?
Are they in the same subnet or connected via a WAN link?
Share "get director" from AP CLI.
Regards,
Vasanth Edward

hi @vasanth_edward
Without this command, it is necessary to first upgrade the AP to a firmware version suitable for ZD. The current version of ZD is 10.1.0, and now I need to upgrade the firmware for R710 and 720

Hi @cangqingse,
Please upgrade R710 (https://support.ruckuswireless.com/software/2782-ruckus-solo-access-point-114-0-0-0-6565-ga-software... ) & R720 (https://support.ruckuswireless.com/software/2766-ruckus-solo-access-point-114-0-0-0-6565-ga-software... ) to its latest solo firmware & try adding AP to ZD.
Run command "set director ip <ZD IP address>" from AP CLI to join it to ZD. Post which share "get director" from AP CLI.
Are they in the same subnet or connected via a WAN link?
Regards,
Vasanth Edward
