I have experienced as much as 400 feet and still being able to connect.  It all depends on the environment and RF noise.  Also the channel.  The range is shorter for 5 GHz.

No exact distance.It depends on what type of environment the AP will propagate the RF signal, less interference or obstruction the signal will travel longer
