Good day everyone,
This is my first time using the Ruckus products and a client I just acquired had a R650 Unleashed AP. When on site I noticed that there was no WiFi down one of the halls. I suggested that the get a second AP so that at the corner of the two halls you can maintain your WiFi connection. I purchased the second AP installed it, brought both AP/s to the 200.17.x firmware, the original unit is "Master" and it pushed all the configurations to the new unit. There are two WLAN Internal and Public (2.4 and 5 for each).
My issue is as follows, When a user connects to the first (Public via there phone) they connect no problem but when they turn the corner, the new unit doesn't pick up the connection nor does it reconnect automatically. Do not believe there is an issue for the Internal.
Since this was originally setup as a single unit is there settings which I need to change to allow for the roaming to occur correctly?
I access the units via the GUI of the the master.

My Bad. Found the issue. The switch was not configured for the AP and the VLANs.

Also enable 802.11r and k. Those make a huge difference in roaming. Oddly enough, I just had a client who was reporting disconnects in an area central in the house equally between the APs. I was sure I had turned those on when setting up the network, as I always do, so I was confused what else it could be. That symptom tells me either bad firmware or the roaming settings not enabled. As it turned out, thankfully, those settings actually were off somehow, so devices couldn't figure out what APs were around and which to connect to and would thus have intermittent disconnects. Once I enabled those settings, the issue disappeared.
