My iPhone keeps getting kicked off network - Help please

Smart-roam is enabled/disabled on a per WLAN basis. To disable it, enter the command “no smart-roam” as shown below.  This example assumes the WLAN name is TEST.

One more tip - if you changed the default setting for 802.11r (fast transition roaming) to enabled, change it back to disabled.  The default is set to disabled for a reason - Apple.  A couple of years ago it was the kiss of death.  Less so now, but depending on the device and version of iOS, it can still cause problems.  In general, Ruckus defaults are set to a state that minimizes issues.  There are a few exceptions where Ruckus is slow to change a default setting once an issue has been corrected.

How do you feel about a network dedicated to phones only that is exclusively 2.4.   Is that a mistake.  Feels like I don’t need speed for wifi calling and the range of 2.4 is appealing.  I’m in the countryside. 

i just changed it to be on 2.4 and 5 to see if that helps with the randomly being kicked off.

The problem with the 2.4 band is interference from wifi and non-wifi sources.  You're in the country so I assume you're not surrounded by dozens of other wifi networks - that's good.  Does the house have other products that use the 2.4 band?  Examples: analog wireless security cameras, baby monitors, intercoms, wireless tv/audio/video receivers, cordless phones, halogen lamps, some dimmer switches, older microwave motion detectors, etc...  Those devices typically impact most of the spectrum and some utilize sustained transmissions which can wreak havoc on 2.4GHz wifi.  Microwave ovens also create a lot of interference but the transmissions are not sustained (bursts every 8 seconds or so).
