Hi,

im running a few devices with ruckus unleashed:
200.2.9.13.186

There is a domain policy that deploys the wifi profile toi our domain joined devices.

After a certian period devices loses connection (probably after inactivity) and user must re-enter theire username and password.
How can we fix this?

regards
Hans

Have you tried adjusting the Inactivity Timeout length: WLAN > Advanced Options > Others tab
  • Inactivity Timeout: Enter a value in minutes after which idle stations will be disconnected (1 to 500 minutes).

It stands indeed on 30 minutes, but i thought that after the inactivity period connection automatically will be picked up again without username or password

Nope, after inactivity period expires, users must re-authenticate.

Hi,

Just a follow-up question to the subject.

There is also a setting called grace period in ZoneDirector.

If you set inactivity Timeout to 30 Minutes and the Grace Period to 60 minutes, after inactivity period expires but user re-connects before the Grace Period expires, would the user still be asked to re-authenticate?

Also, after inactivity timeout expires, does this mean that the user would no longer be seen on the zonedirector GUI under wireless clients?

Regards,

Tanski
