How do I do this

I have a R310 running the wireless in the house. It's connected to a switch via ethernet - about 2m long. Also connected to that switch is a 7363 - I'm using the PoE port. The cable is about 20m long.

I'm doing something wrong, but I don't know what. The power light does not come on the 7363. I no longer have a ZD to control it, assuming I could use the R310 as its controller.

As I say, the 7363 is 20m away from the R310 as my goal is to boost the wifi to the back of the house - between the two AP's are a lot of walls and metal.

Please could ppl advise me on what I need to do to achieve my goal

Thank you.

well... this is a common issue however this can be easily avoided by having both R310 n ZF7363 work on a different static 5ghz channel or we put them in a auto channel mode..
PS: ZF7363 is far far better product than any ubiquity product... don't ditch ZF7363 so soon unless it is NOT working.. i got a one working at home for the past 8 years,,, working just like i bought it yesterday :))

Sweet  - I had it for 5 years and it's excellent. But upgraded to the R310 as I sold the ZD to a friend. So, without this I don't know how to get inside the 7636.

so i am assuming that only R310 is up & running and we need to get this ZF7363 up and it is powering ok on POE.... If you don't know the current state of ZF7363 like its IP, username n pwd. Better to start from scratch n reconfig it.

do you know your network details like spare private IP, subnet mask, default GW, DNS etc??

here is what i will do:

1) while it is powered on, remove it from network if it is connected by chance/error. perform a hard reset by presssing the hard reset button for 10 secs which is on the rear of the unit next to ethernet port.
2) once it is hard reset, it will be available on 192.168.0.1 its default ip, you configure your computers LAN card for static ip which is in same series as ZF7363 default it.
3) username n pwd is super/sp-admin

Cannot connect.

Using AC adapter to power up the 7636. Ethernet to my pc. Hard reset. Cannot ping 192.168.0.1 or a 'bunch' of ip's near that border. Pretty sure this is because it is now not showing any wireless light, just the power light. Hard rest twice more and twice pulled the power supply and repowered. Still not transmitting wireless at all any more. Have tried ethernet cable in all three device ports.
