Is there a way in which unleashed can be configured so that once a client has authenticated for the first time, they dont need to authenticate again until expiry of the guest pass?

Yes, if they stay associated, or re-connect in under the grace period.

I have the same issue (ZD1200). My grace period is set to 999 and it still prompts for the key every time they re-authenticate.
