Please give list of reasons why a Root AP shuts down

Hello,

Will someone help me come up with, in a list format, why a root access point will shut down?

for example:
  • Built in feature/setting
  • faulty access point
  • etc.
Much appreciated,

Unless you have flakey power, they shouldn't ever shut down.
An administrator could manually shut down the AP.

Your AP might reboot, if unable to communicate with a ZoneDirector or SmartZone controller,
after an Admin specified (default 30 min) AP recovery period.

I'm not sure I could come up w/ a list.
In theory, a software bug could cause a hang and a reboot.

Are you ping-monitoring your APs and finding that they stop responding at some point?
What are your symptoms?

Are your APs on a controller?
Do logs show any related activity?
Does the GUI show you anything?
What happens when you try to access a problematic AP under the "monitor" tab of your controller?
