One of our users has accidently wiped our Brocade Fastiron 624p Switch. It comes up to boot cli but has no primary or secondary image. How do I get a flash image back on this switch?

Good Afternoon:

I am not certain what you mean exactly.  Could you just copy and paste the entire process where you cold boot, set your parameters, your no password, boot, etc.

and where you get stuck?

I presume you hit Enter a few times, and that did not help.

I would move the no password command to right before your boot command AFTER you set the IP details.  I don't know that it matters, but changing the IP could potentially change something in memory.

At any rate, I also found this (I know it is for a different switch), but it is worth a try:

http://docs.ruckuswireless.com/fastiron/hardware/icx7150-installguide/GUID-3ED3789B-7998-4DC4-8DB8-3...

  1. Enter no password. (You cannot abbreviate this command.)

Perhaps "no pass" is not sufficient... even though it said, "OK! Skip password check when the system is up."

I tried the no password typed out and still no change. Then I tried typing it after the ip was assigned.

FGS-Boot>ip add 169.254.37.215

BOOT INFO: prepare tftp client..

I don't see these commands on this platform from typing ? above, but I see it mentioned on some Internet searches.

Monitor>no password
OK! Skip password check when the system is up.
Monitor>erase startup-config
Monitor>reset
