Client load balancing, should it be changed?

We are using Virtual Smartzone Controller with R710s. There are two checkboxes under Advanced Options "Run load balancing on (2.4 or 5GHz) radio  Adjacent Radio Threshold (dB)"

We do not have either checkbox checked. If we have two APs in one area and keep adding clients

• Will they balance between the two APs?
• If so, what is the mechanism that is used to decide which AP the client joins?
• Should I check these boxes and put some dB value in?

It's geared towards ZD but I expect it to work similarly on SZ. There are rpm keys to control the # of clients before balancing starts kicking in.
