Hello,
I’m using one Ruckus ICX 7150-C12P switch together with five R650 access points to set up my network. All R650s are powered via the PoE+ ports of the switch. In each AP’s management interface, I’ve set the power mode to force 802.3at.
During configuration, I discovered that the ICX 7150’s total PoE+ power output is insufficient (according to the official specs, the total PoE budget of the ICX 7150 is 124W). Specifically, when all five APs are connected to the switch, one AP will fail to power on (its network port LED remains off).
After checking the official documentation, I found that each R650 requires approximately 21.59W of PoE+ power. I then manually set the ICX 7150’s PoE power allocation to manual mode and configured each of the five ports to 24000 (24W). After doing so, all five APs could be detected in the web management interface and showed as being powered via 802.3at.
However, the web management interface became extremely slow and unresponsive—most pages fail to load or time out. If I power off one of the APs, everything returns to normal.
Is there a possible solution for this issue? Thank you.
Switch firmware: RUCKUS ICX FastIron 08.0.95s (GA) Software Release
AP firmware: R650_200.18.7.101.242.bl7
