Ruckus AP Not Connecting After Reset

Akhen
New Contributor

Hi all,

I restarted my Master Ruckus AP because my network’s performance was having issues, and it seemed like the Ruckus APs might have been the issue. After the Master AP restarted and came back online, the other AP that’s meshed disconnected from the network, and I’m having a lot of trouble reconnecting it to my network.

I had to reset it with a paperclip, and I only got the Wizard to show up once, and have reset it again multiple times, and it seems stuck on “Building the Unleashed Network. It may take a few minutes.” now, so I feel stuck at this point. Also, right now it’s plugged into the switch my Master AP is on.

What are the exact steps to get the other AP reconnected to my network?

Thanks

Hi Imran,

Thanks for your help.

  1. The Ruckus setup was previously operational, and there were no power outages before the issue began. There were network performance issues as I mentioned in my initial post, so I restarted the Master AP. The Unleashed Dashboard indicated that the “network was rebuilding”, then the Master AP came back online, but the Meshed AP wasn’t connected to the network. I tried for quite awhile to figure out what the issue was, but eventually I had to reset the Meshed AP with a paperclip, as I posted above, and that’s where I got stuck.
  2. I’ll attach a photo of the Ruckus ICX-7150-C12P Switch. There shouldn’t be any issues with the Switch.
  3. There are 2 APs currently connected to the Switch: the Master AP, and I also plugged the Meshed AP into the Switch, since I was hoping it would be picked up by the network, so everything could go back to normal, but as of now I’m having issues with that. The Meshed AP has the PWR light solid, and the CTL light blinking, since I reset it with a paperclip.

If I need to SSH into the Meshed AP to resolve this issue, please provide the steps to do so. I’m running Windows 11.

Thanks again for your help.Ruckus R610 Lights.jpgRuckus ICX-7150-C12P Switch Lights & Connections.jpg
