Hello all,
I'm trying to set up some basic QoS functionality on a number of ICX7150 switches. I have all of my phones in a particular vlan and would like to have the switch mark any incoming packets on that vlan with an appropriate DSCP value. I thought that the command to do this was ip-dscp-remark 46, on the vlan in question. But this doesn't apply to the vlan, but rather the whole switch.
Anybody have any idea on how to do this?

You should only need “trust dscp” on each port that has a phone.

Paul is correct provided the phone marks the DSCP value on the packets. If not, there really is not much of a way to create classes and queues in the ICX environment.

For VoIP I use these settings:
lldp med network-policy application voice tagged vlan priority 7 dscp 46 ports ethe 1/1/x to 1/1/xx
lldp med network-policy application voice-signaling tagged vlan priority 7 dscp 42 ports ethe 1/1/x to 1/1/xx
And on each ports, I have :
loop-detection
dual-mode
spanning-tree root-protect
spanning-tree 802-1w admin-edge-port
inline power power-by-class 2
voice-vlan
stp-protect
broadcast limit 12000
unknown-unicast limit 10000
stp-bpdu-guard
trust dscp
lldp med network-policy application voice tagged vlan
lldp med network-policy application voice-signaling tagged vlan
