Hi. I'm trying to configure a network with a 2825 router and a 2111 adapter . I can get them connected but when I try to add any other wireless devices like a smartphone or a laptop they don't get an IP
I may be a little confused. Is it really necessary to be under a DHCP server?
I just want to use Ruckus as a local router to make a local network, not even connected to an internet modem. Thanks
IP addresses are required for the devices to communicate. You can statically assign IP addresses, DNS servers, etc - but that's what the DHCP server would do for you and much faster 🙂
Now I understand. I thought Ruckus was able to assign an IP acting as a DHCP server just like a regular router does, creating a whole new network. So if a connect Ruckus to an internet modem, it would be able to assign IPs for my devices?
