Announcement: New Ruckus Support Portal Homepage on 28Jan2019

Ruckus has ongoing projects to improve the look and feel of our Support Site Portal,

and is ready to roll-out a new design homepage on Monday, January 28, 2019.

This is the first change to be implemented, with a “Big Box” in the top, showing selections

from left side column choices, and a new expanded Footer with reference links.  We have tried

to be Browser agnostic, and to appear similar across the multiple OS/browser platforms.

Until Monday, you can find a preview and description of our new Support Portal, at this page:

 https://support.ruckuswireless.com/new-ruckus-networks-support-portal-home-page-on-28-january-2019

We hope that this Support Site redesign will offer an improved user experience, to help

Customers find Solutions (Knowledge Base Articles, Forums, Product Docs), and easy access

to asset management and TAC contact.

I see no difference. My point still stands. It's not like it's a overhaul of the system, hell I even click on the same damn button I'm used to.

Yeah... AKA: Wait for it...  Coming soon...  or Just about...

Where is that new look Support portal homepage you ask, well IT found a few things

that need fixing, and had to roll-back (“temporarily”).  One is fixed, and others are being

worked on, with no certain ETA, but “Soon” is the message we’ve received.  Thanks for

your patience, and best regards,

- Michael

New issues observed while testing:

  1. ITFOCUST-409: Chat Tool on Site Map links is not working.
  2. ITFOCUST-408: Main Menu and Top Menu is not as per UI/UX requirements. -> Closed.
  3. ITFOCUST-411: Production IDM page is not same as Nebud1 IDM Page i.e., Media links and Address are present on Production IDM Page.
  4. ITFOCUST-410: Page breaks when QA downloads a Pending License for a ZD

Sounds like a Ruckus product all right. I was talking with another person today, like me, preferred the look of the ZoneDirector to the SmartZone (at a glace on the ZD was amazing, all info, right there on one page). You guys make great products, but you haven't learned to keep what it is working well enough alone.

I suggest that you speak to your account rep, channel rep and provide this feedback directly to them so they can take it back internally.

It's great that you are telling us this here but it carries more weight going directly to your sales, channel,SE rep in your region.

On another note, what version of SZ were you using to compare vs ZD?

After fixing the difficulties mentioned previously, the new UI/UX on the Support Portal home page went live early this morning.
