I am talking about Android 9 feature .....

Indoor positioning with Wi-Fi RTT

https://developer.android.com/about/versions/pie/android-9.0

This appears to be a client (phone) application, and not something our Access Points run.

Some Ruckus Wi-Fi APs respond to 802.11mc FTM RTT requests, but do not advertize this in the beacon frame. So you can use them, as long as you figure out what the offset/bias is in the result.

For some more information see https://people.csail.mit.edu/bkph/FTMRTT_aps#unadvertized

For sample video of Android app FTMRTT used in property with 113 Ruckus APs (OUI 94:b3:4f) see https://people.csail.mit.edu/bkph/movies/KSR_Pixel_5_screen-20240324-174934.mp4

(here the offset was -2.8 meters).

Follow up question: do any Ruckus APs support 802.11az (the next generation positioning (NGP)): https://standards.ieee.org/beyond-standards/newly-released-ieee-802-11az-standard-improving-wi-fi-lo...
