Is there a cost to upgrade the license from 2X10G to 8X10GR in ICX 7150-48ZP?

Hello, I have a RUCKUS CX 7150-48ZP Switch.
My current License is:

ICX7150-48ZP Switch#show license
Unit License Name L3 Premium Port Speed Upgrade Speed Ports MACsec
1 2X10G No Yes 10G 2 NA

ICX7150-48ZP Switch#show version
Software Package: BASE_SOFT_PACKAGE
Current License: 2X10G

I have seen that it is possible to upgrade from 2x10G to 8x10GR

CLI command is:

ICX7150-48ZP Switch# license install perpetual 1 8X10GR

MY QUESTION IS:
Is this update FREE? or do I need to PURCHASE an ADDITIONAL LICENSE?

I understand that it is FREE.

If not free. How much is the approximate cost of the license?

Hey @CarlosMST 

It is not free and you will need to buy the license. I believe you will be looking at SKU 'BR-ICX-7150Z210U810R-P-01' and you can see the licenses on page 13 of the ICX7150 datasheet here:

You can buy the license from any RUCKUS vendor. Hope that helps!

I just checked the datasheet and found a license provider, but I see that it is too expensive, about USD $1,123.19

Ruckus License to upgrade ICX 7150 Z-Series model from 6x1 GbE SFP and 2x10 GbE SFP+ to 8x10 GbE SFP...

For now I will keep my actual license 🙂
