WLAN Connection Activation

I have followed this guide to utilize zero-IT activation.
http://theruckusroom.typepad.com/file...

Currently using ZD1106 and one ZF7982 with version 9.8.2.0 build 15. I am using Active Directory for authentication and verified that it is working. However, when joining BYOD-Provisioning and entering a website such as yahoo.com I am redirected to the ZD WLAN Connection Activation page which is good. Upon inputting my AD credentials and hit login, it seems like it is authentication but just redirects me back to the WLAN Connection Activiation page and never authenticates. Not sure if I am missing something here. I was testing this on an iPhone, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hello Nathan,

Have you tested this setup with a Laptop or a Tablet? Try with different OS. I am curious to know if they also face the same issue because if all of them do then it is likely that you might be using a "Hotspot service" as the BYOD-Provisioning WLAN? If you are then kindly reconfigure the WLAN to be "Guest Access" and see if that makes any difference.

I created a KB article for this issue which might help you here. Kindly try it out and let me if it helps:

Re-configuring the BYOD-Provisioning WLAN to Guest Access worked. I am currently using onboarding portal with Guest Pass + Device Registration, when selecting Guess Pass on a mobile device is it possible to redirect the user to https://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/guestpass ?

Hi Nathan,

I am glad that the solution worked!

With regards to your last question, yes it is possible to have the all the wireless clients redirect to the above URL. All you have to do is to enable "Guest pass authentication" from Configure :: Guest access :: Guest access service and then the all the clients will redirect to that URL for authentication.

Cheers,
Rahul
