Hi all,

I've buy the Cisco SG300-10MPP for 3 R710, two of devices support 802.3at POE+

But when i use command "get power-mode" on R710. The result display R710 is running in 802.3af mode.
Please help me to find the solution, that will make our R710 can running 802.3at with SG300-10MPP

Many thanks!

Hi k3vin
I've found that way yesterday. But in cisco document, SG300-10MPP only support 15.4W per port.
Does R710 working well with this power?Did you have any issues happen with this?

Hi,

According to Cisco's datasheet for the SG300-10MPP:

Maximum power of 30.0W to any 10/100 or Gigabit Ethernet port for PoE+ supported devices and 15.4W for PoE supported devices
So the SG300-10MPP provides 30W max (per port) if the device is in 802.3at mode

So far it's been working good so far. However, if the AP is rebooted for any reason you need to use the set power-mode AT again

Hi k3vin,

Thanks a lot for your information!

Turn on LLDP and all the related options on the Sg300. The AP uses LLDP to negotiate power mode with the switch, which (I think) is turned off by default on the SG300.

You may also need to enable LLDP on the AP in the AP group, model specific options settings.
