Hello everyone,
In a different route than the previously mentioned topic, the issue of slow downloads on the R650 has recurred. I am sharing this for your reference as the cause was different.
The connection configuration is as follows: WAN-RT-main switch-branch switch-R650
The uplink of the branch switch is 10Gbps, and the port connecting to the R650 on the downlink is 2500Mbps. However, the branch switch was restricting bandwidth based on the uplink and downlink speeds. When we experimentally set the uplink speed to 1000Mbps, the download and upload speeds reversed. (150Mbps/960Mbps)→(940Mbps/110Mbps) Furthermore, when we changed the uplink port to a UTP cable and set the speed to 2500Mbps, the upload and download speeds balanced out. (550Mbps/540Mbps)
This does not apply to all cases, and it seems to be specific to certain network switches. We confirmed that there are differences even among switches from the same manufacturer, and have added this as a mandatory check in our workplace.
I hope this information is helpful to everyone.
Sincerely
