Issues with https admin portal on a 7982

I have a new ruckus 7982 that I'm using as a standalone AP. For the most part everything is working fine but when I log to configure the settings using the "https" portal I run into a random issue that slows things down.

Basically it says "establishing secure connection" on the bottom of the web page and cycles for 5 to 20 secs before it lets me through to the config page, this is completely random and can happen at any point where I change tabs or issue changes, it can also not appear for several min before coming back and bugging me again. Turning the https portal off and using the http portal works fine, but I would prefer to use the https portal for obvious reasons. I have already tried multiple firmware updates, including 9.6.0.0.* which has worked fine for me on other APs. I do not have a zone-director, thanks for your time and help on this issue.

I've tried Firefox and Chrome with the same results, is it possible for me to use a downloaded backup of the config for the reconfiguration or should I do it all manually to avoid the flash corruption?

I'm assuming the factory reset through the admin portal will be sufficient and I won't have to use the manual hard reset. Please advise if that is the case or not, thanks.

Okay, I just did a a factory reset through the admin portal, after it finished I had to power cycle the AP to get access to the login portal and it doesn't accept the default "super/sp-admin" credentials. I seem to recall something similar to this happening when I was originally setting the AP up, when I had to do several factory resets to get in, is there anything else I can do and do you think another factory reset will manage to fix this permanently?

The unit is difficult to get to so if you have another suggestions I would love to hear them before I try to get to it physically. Many thanks.

On a new unit like that, if you're seeing this happen repeatedly, you should request an RMA. Something is physically wrong with it. You can meanwhile try the multiple hard-resets, but t may fail again without warning.
