I'm trying to determine whether this is a PC issue or a network issue.
- Apartment complex with Cox fiber and a managed Ruckus network
- PC is wired directly into the wall Ethernet jack
- Receives a 100.77.x.x IP with gateway 100.72.0.1
- Every 8–12 minutes I lose connectivity for about 2–3 seconds
- OpenVPN disconnects when this happens, but I've confirmed it also happens with no VPN running
- Continuous pings to both 100.72.0.1 and 8.8.8.8 time out simultaneously during the outage
- Ethernet link stays at 1 Gbps
- No Intel NIC errors, no packet errors/discards, and no Event Viewer link up/down events
- My TV (on the same Wi-Fi network) has also occasionally lost connection while streaming
Does this sound more like an issue with the apartment's managed network/Ruckus infrastructure, or is there anything else on my PC that could still cause this? Any additional diagnostics you'd recommend?
