Getting a US-bought ZoneFlex 7363 to work on a UK ZoneDirector

I am in the UK and I have a ZoneFlex 7363 bought from the US. It is set to US and cannot be changed.

What are the issues with connecting to ZoneDirectors? Will it never connect to a UK ZoneDirector? Can the AP firmware be changed to allow the country setting to be changed? Can a US ZoneDirector be used in the UK. etc.

Many thanks.  The easiest place to buy is online from US sellers.  This means everything should be US product coded.  Based on what you are saying this should all work together.  As long as the AP and ZD aren't checking my physical location via my IP then I should be ok?  Right?  I may relocate to the US in future but plans are not set. 

I assume the switch is unaffected by product code?

Also, if I am not physically in the US will I have difficulty activating my 5 free licenses for my ZD1200, or even purchasing new licenses?

Don't worry if something is not working due to country code, please feel free to open a case with Ruckus Support. They would be able to assist you on this.

Hi Peter,

Sorry, I was informed that it is not possible to change country code now.

1. Switches aren't restircted to used on particular geo location, they can be used anywhere.
2. Licenses are tied to device's serial number, and certain licenses which come with controller (free) are already there they don't need any activation.

So Abilash - to be crystal clear.  Even if I am overseas, if I but everything with US country code, will I be ok?  Will I also be able to buy additional licences for my ZD if I am overseas?  I need to know this before purchasing my APs.  Many thanks, Peter
