Changing Ruckus R500 from Smartzone to Zone Director Firmware

Hi - is there a way to change the firmware on an R500 AP from Smartzone to Zone Director?

Hi,

Please perform below steps:

1) Perform a f/d on this AP by CLI or physical reset button.

rkscli: set factory

or

On the AP back console using paper clip, press hold the button which says "Hard Reset" within a tiny circular port for about 10 to 12 seconds.

2) Download standalone image :

3) Upgrade using CLI or WEB :

I'm sorry, my mistake, the APs I'm having a problem with are using the unleashed firmware, not smartzone. Is there a way to change it from unleashed back to Zone Director?

Hi Matt,

For unleashed also you need to follow the same steps.

Just factory default the AP and upload standalone firmware image to AP.

I'm also trying to migrate, in my case a R600 AP, to my Zone Director.

The SID is stuck at the Island state: "island-216c50".

It was suppose to switch to RecoverMe after 30 mins but never switched.
