Firmware Upgrade ZD1106

Hello,

We have a ZD1106 (9.7.1.0 build 32) with 18 access point ZF7372. We are planning to update the firmware ot these devices. Is there any recommendation (educated action plan) for upgrading from 9.7.1.32 to the Recommended Firmware (9.10.2.0.73).

Thanks in advance.

follow the upgrade path otherwise you loose the config.
for 9.10.2 you need at least 9.9.0.0.205
then you should upgrade first to 9.9.0.0.205

Thanks, can I update it 9.7.1.32 to 9.9.0.0.205 directly? or should I update step by step (9.7 to 9.8 to 9.9)?

Also I saw that post (https://forums.ruckuswireless.com/ruckuswireless/topics/all-accesspoints-zf7372-disconnected-after-u...

Thanks

Hi Cengiz,

Check the Ruckus Release Notes for each of the major releases (9.8, 9.9, 9.10), this will tell you what the minimum version is you can upgrade from.  You'll definitely need to do it in multiple steps to get to the latest from 9.7.

The release notes are available on support.ruckuswireless.com

Hope that helps,
Darrel.

Hi Darrel,

Yeap I'm looking into those documentations. I just asked for maybe someone has same hardware configuration like us and did the same upgrade and also likes to share 🙂

Looks like I'm going into long way. If we will do the update, I will share my notes here.

Thanks.
