Hi,
I upgraded some of my R750 APs to R670. At the moment I have a system running with
1x R750 in the top floor, 1x R670 in the first floor, 1x R670 in the groundfloor and one
R670 ist not connected at the moment because I need to setup a new cable.
All APs are separated each in a AP-group, so a group for every floor. This is because
I wanted to have some SSIDs only on some APs.
The strange thing, I never seen before with when I had all as R750, is that suddenly
I am seeing devices connected to a 2.4 WiFi only have no connection anymore. When
I setup the WiFi for an other AP group they try to connect there.
So checking if the WiFi 2.4 only SSID is still there, I can't find it anymore. So I need to
reboot the AP after that the SSID is back for some days again.
I saw this issue mainly on one AP, but I had the situation that the second R670 showed
the same issue one time and at the same time like the AP for the groundfloor.
This issue ist not only one SSID, this issue is related to the whole WiFi 2.4. Because
I have two other 2.4 GHz only SSIDs and the devices on these show the same when
it happens.
Is there an issue when the R670 are on a PoE+ only networkswitchport? I have only
PoE+, but the specs show that should work with reduced rf-power.
Like mentioned this only happens on my R670 APs, not on the R750 and had never
happen before when my setup was only R750.
I switched the two R670 APs to see if than the firstfloor schows the issue faster/more,
but that didn't happen. It stayed mainly the groundfloor the first and mainly AP showing
this issue.
Of course I integrated the R670 APs into my existing Unleashed setup and didn't
do a complete new configuration.
I saw this issue with releases before, but now I am on 200.19.7.11.283.

Greetings!!!
Thank you for reaching out to the RUCKUS Community Forums and for the detailed explanation, that is very helpful.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to resolve the issues you are experiencing with your RUCKUS setup.
Based on the information provided, it appears that you have issue with 2.4 GHz radio connectivity.
This behavior is not expected and is unlikely related to PoE+. The R670 works fine on PoE+ (with only reduced RF power), but it should not cause 2.4 GHz SSIDs to disappear.
Based on your setup, this looks more like a firmware or configuration sync issue, especially since:
Suggested steps:
If you can also check whether the 2.4 GHz radio shows “Up” when the SSID disappears, that would help narrow it down further.
Let me know how it goes.
Thank you again for your patience.
Best regards,
Imran Sanadi
