Hi All,
Relatively new to Ruckus and have been asked to change the WLAN name on one of our WiFi networks. This network generally is used for most of our connections approx 40 plus on a daily basis.
My question is could I change the name on the fly while users are actually connected to the WiFi network? I do not intend to change the password. This is purely a WLAN WiFi name change.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Regards.

Hi @czql5v
You can click on Wiff Networks tab >> Click on the Wlan which you want to change >> Click on Edit >> Change the Name.
However, the connected clients will get disconnected and they have to reconnect to the new SSID by entering the password again.

Hi Sanjay,
Thanks for the information. So basically if I send an email to inform staff that they will need to input the same exact password for the newly named WiFi all should be good?
Regards.

Hi @czql5v
If you are only changing the Wlan name and not anything else, then yes, using the same password for new SSID should work.
