adding 2.4ghz to existing 5ghz network for r610?

i'm a noob and don't want to screw up the current working network.  what i currently have is 7 r610 APs all running a single SSID and they work great, and all are set for 5ghz.

the problem is that new devices (eg. sonos) only run on 2.4Ghz and so i need to somehow add 2.4Ghz to the existing network without breaking anything.

i'd very much prefer not to add a second SSID for this application - i'm hoping i can just keep the current SSID and have it be smart about 5ghz + 2.4ghz somehow.

is there a simple way to do with via zone director?

Hi,

Yes we can do this. Basically you need to create a WLAN group. One for 2.4 Ghz and other for 5 GHz.

1. Under Wireless LAN >> Create a WLAN Group and name is as 2.4 Ghz.
2. Add the list of SSID you want to be broadcasted on 2.4 Ghz.
3. Create another WLAN group for 5 GHz and add the list of SSIDs to be broadcasted on 5 GHz.
4. Now go to Access Points >> Select the Access Points Group >> Click on Edit.
5. Under Radio Settings >> You will see the "Wlan Group" for 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz section.
6. Select the respective group to be broadcasted.

I hope this should help.
