Ruckus 7363 - Connected Device I.P Address Blank or Begins with 169

The AP currently has 11 devices connected. 3 of them begin with 169 and one is blank. Why do some begin with a 169 a bad I.P and why is the other blank?  What does this indicate?

this potenially indicates that devices are having trouble getting IP from DHCP

169.254.X.X address is called Automatic Private IP Address (APIPA) and this happens when the client can't see the DHCP server.
