Microsoft NPS Config or use with ZD and 802.1x EAP + MAC Address

Hi everyone.  We have successfully setup NPS to authenticate users against our Active Directory.  Clients are able to enter their username and password, works great.

However, I would like to limit users to certain devices (school issued ipads).  I don't want users to bring their own laptop/phone and be able to login.

Can this be accomplished by using 802.1x EAP + MAC Address on the ZD and adding all of our ipads as users (acount/pw = MAC address in AD).

Or, does this ONLY use the MAC and never bothers to ask for their username and password.

In other words can we use NPS to limit both the device and the username/pw at the same time?

Anyone?  Or perhaps someone can point me to documentation regarding 802.1x EAP + MAC Address authentication?

Hi jkrainak.
Would you mind sharing a  guide or documentation on how you have successfully setup NPS to authenticate users against our Active Directory?
Thanks.

Jkrainak,

Do you have documentation on how you were able to setup 802.1x EAP + MAC Address authentication to work.

Support page Knowledge base has a few articles, with documentation for NPS/AD RADIUS authentication.
If you have ZD you should have support contract providing firmware downloads and knowledge base access?
