Did you mean:

the concept of "session" in "/Clients/Wireless/Clients List/Overview"

My Ruckus R560 is managed by Ruckus ONE. My mobile phone is connected to the R560's SSID. Some apps may generate traffic.

I find that my mobile phone has three sessions in the "/Clients/Wireless/Clients List/Overview".

I also find one completed session in the "/Clients/Wireless/Clients List/Report".

Could you help me to confirm what the other two sessions are?

Hi @mypass,

Sessions can be seen from Wireless --> Client lists --> Troubleshooting --> History.

Please make sure to check the timeline for which we want to see client session.

Hi @mypdas,

Thank you for writing to the RUCKUS Community Forum.

The Sessions table in the Client Details report provides comprehensive information regarding the sessions established between a client device and the associated access points.

This section displays active or recently active sessions. If you observe multiple sessions listed for your mobile device (e.g., three sessions), this is typically expected and may be attributed to one or more of the following reasons:

Multiple Associations:
The device may have reconnected to the same SSID multiple times due to roaming between access points, toggling the Wi-Fi connection, or DHCP lease renewals.

Dual-Band or Multi-Band Connectivity:
Some mobile devices support simultaneous connections on different bands (2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, or 6 GHz if available), which may appear as separate sessions in the report.

App-Level Network Activity:
Background network activity triggered by applications can initiate new sessions, which are then recorded by the controller.

Additionally, under the Overview section, you will find details of both ongoing and recently completed sessions. In contrast, the Reports section focuses on displaying only the completed session data.

We hope this clarifies your query. Please let us know if you have any further questions or require additional assistance.

Hi vasanth,

My client does not support 6G or MLO. Based on your description. If I understand correctly, there should be 3 connection events for 3 sessions, but only 2 connection events were seen under the "Clients/ Wireless/ Clients List/Timeline/Events".
