Admin Password reset for Ruckus zonedirector 1200

Hi Team,

We want to reset the admin password(Ruckus zonedirector 1200), without loosing any configuration. Can I do it ? or any alternate to login.

FYI
Our last admin forgot the password and we don't have backup of it.

Hi,

In case you are not able to login to the ZD1200 using the admin credentials, the only way to reset the password is to to factory reset the ZD1200.

In case you had the backup or ZD1200 debug file the Ruckus TAC could have helped you to find the Password.

Okay, wow, that's a tricky one, Venkat. Losing admin access is never fun. I think some Ruckus devices have a factory reset button that lets you in but... yeah, that's gonna wipe your config. Feels a bit like playing Flappy Bird – you get so close, then BAM, back to square one. Before you go nuclear, have you tried everything? Like, even the default "password" password? It sounds dumb, but sometimes... Look for any tiny notes from your old admin? Good luck! Really hope you find a way.

I totally get that feeling of being stuck and needing to figure something out. It reminds me a bit of playing Doodle Baseball, haha. Sometimes you swing and miss completely, but you learn from it and adjust your timing for the next pitch. With this password reset, maybe try some standard recovery steps first? I know it’s frustrating when you don’t have a backup, but hang in there – I'm sure you'll find a solution!

Losing admin access is always a panic moment. I haven't dealt with a Ruckus system specifically, but I imagine there's a factory reset procedure you can try, though it might erase everything. It's like when you're cruising along nicely in agario, feeling all-powerful, and then BAM! Some giant blob just swallows you whole. Makes you want to rage quit, right? Before going nuclear, I'd check Ruckus's support forums. Someone else might have a clever workaround. Good luck!
