Hi,

Yes, R500 is supported on ZD1100 from 9.8.1.0.101 firmware.

Please check the release notes for the supported/unsupported APs before upgrading to this version.

Pretty sure that the last version of firmware on the 1100 is 9.10 so make sure you read the bug fix sections of the release notes for 9.10 and also 9.12 to ensure you don't fix yourself into running R500's with a known bug that you can't fix
