7781cm Troubleshooting

I have 7781cm bought from eBay.

PROBLEM:
I don't know how to configure it to AP mode instead of CM mode.

I don't have cable modem. I just want to use it as AP or connected to vSZ 3.2.

QUESTIONS:
1. to make use of it. This url said, I need to connect both AC from cable modem and DC12v.
Is that true?

No, you cannot configure the 7781cm AP to function without CM mode.

Page 35 explains for PoE it requires Power Over Cable (POC) from an HFC cable plant.
In addition to the coaxial cable power CMTS, the AP can also be powered by DC.
