I have a Lennar home with a RUCKUS ICX 7150-C12P switch and RUCKUS access points. Everything worked normally until a recent power outage.
Since the outage, the RUCKUS Wi-Fi has severe intermittent packet loss. Internet sometimes works normally and then becomes extremely slow or stops responding.
Troubleshooting already completed:
- AT&T gateway connection is approximately 1 Gbps up/down.
- When connected directly to the AT&T gateway Wi-Fi, I get 0% packet loss.
- Through the RUCKUS Wi-Fi, a 100-packet test to 8.8.8.8 showed 59% packet loss.
- More importantly, a 100-packet test directly to my local AT&T gateway (
192.168.1.254) showed 81% packet loss, so the problem appears to be inside the local RUCKUS network. - Wi-Fi signal to the RUCKUS AP is strong (approximately -49 dBm).
- I have already power-cycled the ICX/APs.
- I also performed the ICX 7150-C12P physical recovery procedure by powering it off, holding Reset while reconnecting power, waiting for the LEDs to flash amber, and releasing Reset. The problem remains.
- The ICX switch powers up normally and the APs come online.
