just bought a new home where Ruckus 510 is already established. Setup new wifi with xfinity. How do I reset or troubleshoot ruckus system so I can connect access points via new wifi network?

this brings me to like 5 different help articles. Can you just please provide me a step by step instruction so I can get this up and running in a timely manner ? The main point is in the basement and is currently plugged directly into the wifi modem. There are two other accsss points on the main and upper level. What do I do in order to reset the system and have it link to new WiFi network? Thanks

Hi @spillman242421

First step would be to connect to the SSID
1. Connect to the SSID name "Lennar-xxxxxx" using the password mentioned on the label placed on thee AP rear side.

2. If you can connect to the SSID, then you can access the AP using url or APs IP. Credentials are mentioned on the label.

no. There is no “Lennar xxx” to connect to. There were others who lived here prior to me. I can see the networks they had when they had the home. I can’t access those as they are private. Again, I have my network up and running through xfinity. So, again, how do I reset and get the ruckus connected to the new wifi network that I just got up and running?

Thank you for posting.

Based on your description, I understand that you weren't given (nor found anywhere in the house) the credentials to connect to the Wifi and/or to manage the network.

In those situations, we normally follow this approach:

Try to login using the commonly used credentials. Available here.
If the 1st step fails, proceed with a factory reset of the wireless access points, and then start configuring a new network. (Please note that for this step you'll need a pin, physical access to the wireless Access points, and a cellphone or computer)

The above steps are just for getting access to the access points and manage them, but for the system to actually work (provide internet access) we need to make sure the cables from the Xfinity router are properly connected to the Ruckus equipment. To verify and adjust the wiring, I recommend checking this guide. It doesn't matter if you do this step before or after steps 1 or 2, but it needs to be done at some point before testing the network.
