CM3000 modem and Flint 2 router upgrade

I have been in my lennar home since 2019. I recently started having issues where items in our home would lose connection for a few seconds and reconnect. I decided to upgrade my modem/router from a netgear c7000v2 to a netgear cm3000 modem and Flint2 router. Now I can see my network but when I connect to it, it is extremely slow and most of the time the webpage won’t even load. My TVs won’t even stay connected. I’ve tried a bunch of reconfigs in the APs and the router but nothing has helped. I recently performed the firmware upgrade on my switch as well as I thought that might be the problem

Thank you for the details provided. We need to verify the port negotiation between the Access Point, the modem, and the Ruckus ICX7150 switch.

Please access the switch CLI using the same method you used for the upgrade, and run the commands listed below. Share the resulting output with us for further investigation. Additionally, please run a speed test while connected a computer via an Ethernet cable directly to the ICX7150 switch so we can compare wired versus wireless performance.

I'm not getting a connection when I plug into the switch

Hi @Jervanv

Is the wireless speed test being run on the 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz frequency band? If you are unsure, please confirm that you are located directly under the Access Point you are testing and connected via 5 GHz. You can verify this under the Clients tab in the Unleashed Dashboard.

Now, let’s check why the ports are not responding:

Check Physical Connection: Ensure the port LEDs light up when you connect your computer. Note that the available Ethernet data ports are 1/1/1 through 1/1/12; the remaining ports are reserved for Management and Fiber.
Check Logs: Once connected, run the following command on the switch:show log | include 1/1/
Run Cable Diagnostics: Run the diagnostic test one by one for each port connected to an Access Point (based on the data, these are ports 1/1/1, 1/1/3, and 1/1/5), as well as the port connected to your computer.

I'm not able to run the CLI and be connected to a normal port at the same time. My laptop does not have an RJ45 port. I use an RJ45 - USB cable.

Please run the diagnostic test on all active ports, including those connected to the Access Points, your computer, and the modem, so we can isolate the root cause. Looking at the data, port 1/1/12 (where your computer appears to be connected) is not negotiating. Please try a different Ethernet cable and share the complete diagnostic results for all ports.

With the exception of my computer, I believe that is all the active ports including the AP's and router.

I can see that all the ports have an uptime of less than two minutes, even though the switch itself has been up for 11 hours, 30 minutes, and 36 seconds.

Did you manually reboot the Access Points? If not, please collect and share the following information:

1. Download Master AP Logs from the Unleashed Dashboard:

Go to Access Points > choose Master AP.
Click Show AP Info.
Click Save Logs.

(Depending on your Unleashed version, the options may look slightly different.)

2. Command Line Output from switch:

Please run and share the output for:

show lldp neighbor detail
show log | include down

I'm not sure if it helps or not but just FYI, if I log in directly to the router the internet works normal. But as soon as I login to the AP network is when I have issues.

It appears the Access Points are losing connection, though the cable negotiation looks correct so far.

As a final troubleshooting step, please update your Unleashed system. It is currently running an older version (200.6.10.1.308), whereas the recommended version is 200.15.6.212.27.

I have attached the upgrade guide for reference. Once the update is complete, please test your connectivity. If the issue persists, we will proceed with replacing the switch.

How do I register my product/devices in the unleashed dashboard? Every time I click register is says it's going to take me to another page but nothing happens? When I go to the upgrade tab I can't select anything or see the firmware version. All the radio buttons are grey.

There is no need to register anything. You just need to perform the upgrade. However, please make sure you review the upgrade guide before starting
