poor connection

There was a power surge, and since then we are have very very intermittent connection. I've logged on and it says that a switch is disconnected... having a hard time figuring this out. Internet provider has verified their connection is strong.

Im also concerned I maybe have deleted a switch while trying to figure this out? What is a switch... I have two units (one downstairs and one upstairs) should there be 2 listed?

Based on your description, it looks like your Switch (ICX7150 Switch) may be booting from the wrong partition, let me add the guide to fix the issue, there are two ways, via Web guide or via CLI, please check both options, and use the one is easier for you.

Note: like You have access to the Unleashed Dashboard and the Switch will look as ICX7150-C12-Router instead of ICX7150-C12-Switch, now before starting the steps of the guide, I will advise you to cable the computer directly to the Switch, since you will have better connectivity than if you connect via wireless.

when i type in the IP address in web browser, it says Safari can't open the page because the server where the page is located isn't responding. please advise

An identifier of this problem is that it comes out as Switch-Router in the unleashed dashboard.

There we are going to see 2 important things the

MAC address: Physical address of the device this never changes

An IP address is a unique address (logical) that identifies a device on the internet or a local network like your home (this can change and may not be the same as the one shown on the dashboard)

1- To fix this issue, we must identify the ‘currently’ IP address assigned by your local router to the switch

-We can try the IP address that shows in the dashboard copy and paste it in the URL if that redirects you to the login page for the ICX-7150-C12P that is the correct one if not.

I will leave you a guide how to perform an IP scanner on your local network to identify the switch IP address very easily.

3-Here is a quick guide to understand how to fix the 'routing code issue' but basically you need only need to run the following commands once you are on the command line 'CLI'

Note: Hit Enter to accept each command

enable

copy flash flash secondary

boot system flash secondary yes

example:

ICX7150-24P Router>enable (hit enter to accept the command)
ICX7150-24P Router#copy flash flash secondary (hit enter to accept the command and wait: until the flash finished )

I have downloaded an IP scanner. there are two ruckus wireless that show up... i have tried both ip addressed and they both take me to the Unleashed Dashboard. What are the next steps.

If the ICX 7150 Switch is not showing, you can try login into your ISP router and checking if the IP of the ICX7150 Switch appears or just disconnect the cable between the router and the Switch, then reconnect and run back the IP scanner, if still not showing, you need to gain console access and fix the issue via CLI.

I have logged into my router, as well as completed an ip scanner and all of the IP addresses listed. One IP address takes me to the Unleashed login and the other will not open in a web browser. i have connected my computer to the ruckus and I do not see any devices connected to my computer.

As mentioned, if the IP address is not found, you need to gain access via the console, so the IP address won't be required, please follow up on the guides previously provided.

Since the Web access is not working to make the changes, we need to gain access via the console and made the changes from there, finally perform an upgrade to avoid issues in the future.

2:Once you are connected to the Switch, run the next commands.

ICX7150-C12 Router>enable

ICX7150-C12 Router>show flash (you can confirm in which partition you have the correct code that will start with SPS example: SPS08080f.bin normally will be your primary partition)

ICX7150-C12 Router#copy flash flash secondary (this will copy what is in your primary code to the secondary)

ICX7150-C12 Router# write memory

ICX7150-C12 Router#show flash (now both partitions must start with the SPS before the code type)

ICX7150-C12 Router#Boot system flash primary yes
