how to setup Ruckus 750-c120 and 2 AP setup but don't have username and pwd

Hello Techies,

I have moved in my new home, there is Ruckus device setup, I would like to use this setup instead of regular modem Wifi setup, but I have know idea how to set this up, your help is highly appreciated.

Note: the devices are already configured but the previous owner don't know the username and password, as he used the fingerprint to access it from his mobile phone.

1. I took Spectrum Internet services.

2. I have modem placed there, Do I have to run ethernet cable from modem to switch port? if not what I have to do?

3. I don't have username and password for AP, what are the options I have? how to configure.

You can also be connected via Wi-Fi or Ethernet to your local router ( ISP ) copy and paste the IP address in the URL and try the default logins.

In this example I copied and paste '192.168.0.3' in the URL and re-direct me to the login page.

You have to connect your Spectrum modem to one of the 12 ports that are in front of the Ruckus switch (there are 2 rows from 1 to 6)
* Do you see any Wi-Fi named Lennar with some digits in your Wi-Fi settings and a strong signal?
* Do you see any label with the information of the Wi-Fi and its password in the closet where all the devices are?

Note:Please read carefully all the guides before start the troubleshooting.

1:The Spectrum router is required to be connected because the router will run the DHCP protocol that provides the IP address to your devices, the ICX7150 is a Switch and the Access Points are that Access Points.

2:The modem cannot provide the IP addresses, let add the guide for the set-up.

3:I don't know your username and password, but we have a packet of the most common user and passwords test all combinations, but if for some reason it does not work, it is necessary to factory reset one 1 of the 2 access points, important if factory reset is necessary, it is advised to disconnect one and leave only one access point during factory reset and configuration, and when configuration is complete you can connect the second AP which will automatically associate to your new configuration, let me add the guide for the passwords and the set-up.

I understand I need wifi router in between modem and switch.

I believe the previous owner has changed both username and password, in this can we still try with default username and password to access the devices or we will have to do the factory reset?

You can try the default user/password shown here:

If none of them works, then you have to perform the factory reset and create the network from scratch. By doing the factory reset you can create your own username and password.

This is the way that must be, always if not the Switch cannot have internet connection.

The option to access to the Dashboard page, is to manage and run the troubleshooting steps I sent you, now also will work if you are connected to the Unleashed/AP Wi-Fi, so you may have two signals, one coming from your ISP router and the other coming from your Access Points, so you can gain access to unleashed.ruckuswireless.com either because you are connected the Switch via wired or Wi-Fi to the Unleashed SSID/Wi-Fi signal.

the scanner is helpful to find the IP's, I got IP's for both AP and switch, now I have to connect the laptop to switch via eth cable and try the passwords, is that correct?

Yes, I can get to the webpage for both switch and AP using the IP with WIFI itself, seems none of the username and password is working for both switch and AP. seems I will have to do the reset.

That is correct ! most of the usernames and passwords that should work are

admin/Lennar admin/Ruckus1

Also try to click password recovery if that does not work need a factory reset

I tried to reset the master AP, 3 times, but it is not resetting, everything is happening as suggested in the link but I'm not getting below.

'CONFIGURE.ME-XXXXXX' (the X represents the last 6 digits of the MAC address of the AP).

I finally able to configure it.

I have 2 AP, one in 1st floor and another one in 2nd floor, I can see solid green for power light and amber for 5Ghz , I don't think the 2nd AP is working, what should I do now?

1:We advise you to disconnect all the APs, and leave only one online, to perform the factory reset, and configure the new Unleashed system, when you finish the configuration you can reconnect them, and they will automatically join the Unleashed system you have created.
2:Yes, the XXX is the Mac address of the AP you factory reset.

1:The Amber light for 5G just mean that there are not clients connected to that AP.

2:If you have successfully finished the set-up, you can either log in to

unleashed.ruckuswireless.com or the Unleashed APP, using the credentials you have assigned during the set-up, take in consideration that you must be connected to the new SSID/Wi-Fi signal you have created too.

— From the Dashboard(unleashed.ruckuswireless.com): you can check the Access Point tap to see if both devices are online.
