No lights AP

Question

R510 Access has lights but no light to the PoE connector at the access point or the AP? How do I get connectivity? Thank you.

Hi @Swampthang_2000

* What is the indication on PWR LED for R510 AP?
* Have you tried connecting the AP directly (bypass PoE injector) to switch PoE port?
* Can you plug a laptop into the same cable and switch port currently used by the AP?

If:

Laptop gets link lights immediately → switch port and cable are good, suspect the AP Ethernet port.

Laptop also gets no link → cable or switch port problem.

The fact that the AP has LEDs but the ICX port shows no link LED makes me suspect either:

A bad cable (one or more data pairs open), or

A failed Ethernet interface on the R510.

I have the 5e cable going to the PoE at the AP and then to the ICX 7150 Switch has two Lights on one amber and one green. The switch has no green light going out to the AP.
