I have no power to my downstairs access point. Also, I can access my unleashed account via web but not on the mobile app. Upon logging in I notice that my home network name is incorrect. Could you please assist?
Hi @ynv_naw

@jayavidhya is there any update on this?
Greetings!!!
Apologies for the delayed response as Jayavidhya is OOO.
Could you please unplug and plug the Access Points to any other 1 in-ports then check if that powers up and works? Please refer to the below screenshot.
Please check and let me know if that works.
Thank you again for your patience and understanding.

Hi @Imran_ruckus@jayavidhya,
The relocating of the cable to a new port did not power on the downstairs access point. The upstairs one did power down and come back on with this action.
Thank you for the response and the update.
Could you please try connecting the affected Access Point to an external power 12 VDC adapter and check it separately without connecting to the Switch PoE port cable? (Please refer to the below screenshot). Usually, you will find the 12 VDC adapter connected to your ISP’s (Internet Service Provider’s) Router/Modem-Router combo device.
Please check the Access Point if it powers on by following the above process and let me know if you have any queries in this regard.
Hi @Imran_ruckus:This did not work either. I pressed the reset button also still no power
May I know how many Access Points you have?
Also, please let us know the answers to the below queries to proceed further.
1. On your switch while it's plugged into the outlet, do you see any lights on? (Amber or green) Please let us know which lights are on. (Please refer to the below picture and share a picture of the same, showing the light status and the FULL Switch panel cable connections to the Switch ports)
2. May I know how many Access Points are connected to the Switch? Could you please let me know the light status on the Access Points? Any of these lights are on (Please refer to the below picture and share a picture of the same)
Please help us with pictures of your ICX-7150-C12P Switch showing the status of the lights and cable connections to the Switch ports. Also, light the status of Access Points.
Before uploading the photos please log in to the RUCKUS account and you can upload the image.
Please let me know the answers to ALL the above queries and let me know if you have any queries in this regard.
Thank you again for your patience.
@Imran_ruckus:I have already submitted these pictures previously in this thread. There are no amber lights just no power for the downstairs port that is having the issues and I have two access points -- one downstairs (no power) and one upstairs ) working fine
The cable to the far right end is the downstairs access point as you see there is no power to that port. I have moved the cable to a different port still no power
Thank you for the response.
This issue may be due to the Switch ports in a disabled state. Please refer to the below RUCKUS Lennar Base knowledge base article to troubleshoot this issue.
/kb/articles/6-no-power-on-access-points-and-icx-7150-c12p-switch-with-green-lights-on-syst-pwr-and-poe-disabled
Please follow the above process and let me know if you have any queries in this regard.
@Imran_ruckus: Can we do a remote connection so you can remote into my computer to assist? Seems that the connection is refused
@Imran_ruckus:No worries I got it to work, its now powered on. Thank you sending the links. This would be pretty difficult for someone who is not tech savvy, would be a lot better if support could remote into laptop and assist.
@Imran_ruckus:Could you provide me with the url to access my unleashed access points on the web? The app is not working for me says I'm not connected to the unleashed network. I have switched between my local network and my access points and still will not allow me to login.
If I remember correctly that was one of my issues as well. When I would log into the weburl it showed my old local wifi name so I think that's my issue.
Thank you for the detailed information you shared.
This is a known issue when your RUCKUS Access Points are on an older version which doesn’t let you log into the Unleashed application. To upgrade your RUCKUS Access Points please refer to the below RUCKUS Lennar Knowledge base self-help article.
Please log in to your Unleashed system on a LAPTOP WEB BROWSER using the Master AP IP Address OR https://unleashed.ruckuswireless.com/ to upgrade.
/kb/articles/9-ruckus-unleashed-access-points-upgrade-process-to-the-recommended-firmware-version
Please let me know if you have any queries in this regard.
Hi @Imran_ruckus:I have successfully completed the upgrade and able to log into the mobile app but I'm not able to access the web link anymore: https://unleashed.ruckuswireless.com/. I cleared cookies/cache and also tried another browser no luck. Any suggestions?
Please make sure to connect to your RUCKUS Wi-Fi network to access the https://unleashed.ruckuswireless.com/ link.
If you can’t access using the above link and don’t know the IP Address of the Access Points. Please refer to the below guide to find the IP Address of the Access Point to get the requested information.
How to find my Ruckus “Devices IP address” using free applications:
https://community.ruckuswireless.com/t5/RUCKUS-Support-for-Lennar-Homes/How-to-find-my-Ruckus-Devices-IP-address-using-free-applications/td-p/47027
You should see the below-Unleashed dashboard after finding the IP Address of the AP. Try to log in
@Imran_ruckus:
Thank you for that information. Once I connected to my ruckus network on my laptop I was able to access the link, guess that's a new feature of the update. On the dashboard my switch is not listed, how do I add this?
Thank you for the response and the information you shared.
Make sure the management approval is enabled, as described in the below link.
https://docs.commscope.com/bundle/unleashed-200.9-onlinehelp/page/GUID-A887C55E-6973-4496-9413-302E8DE175AA.html
If it is already enabled, please reboot (Unplug and plug from the power outlet) your RUCKUS ICX-7150-C12P Switch once and check if Switch gets listed in the Unleashed system.
Please check and let me know if you have any queries in this regard.
@Imran_ruckus:The provided link does not work so I reboot the switch and it caused more issues. The downstairs access point went back down so I had to go back through the steps using the command link. Turns out there are two bad ports as the cable was not being powered on with the two ports I put the cable in. It is now on after moving to a 3rd location. What is the cause of this? Could you provide another link to add the switch to the unleashed ruckus dashboard?
If the link is not working please refer to the below screenshot to enable the same.
@Imran_ruckus:I have completed this step and the switch still does not show on the dashboard
It may be due to an older version on your RUCKUS ICX-7150-C12P Switch.
The Switch version should be on or after 08.0.90. If you have CLI access, please share the below commands output to check the same.
Please enter the below commands once you log in to CLI and share the output.
Note: Hit Enter to accept each command
enable
show version
show flash
Thank you again. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
Please find requested command outputs below
Thank you for the response and for sharing the requested information.
I see your Switch is on an old non-UFI 8070c version (please refer to the below screenshot). That is the reason your RUCKUS Switch is not getting listed in the Unleashed system.
We suggest you upgrade your Switch to a recommended version. Please refer to the below RUCKUS Lennar Knowledge Base self-help guide explaining the upgrade process.
/kb/articles/1-how-to-upgrade-ruckus-icx-7150-c12p-from-non-unified-forwarding-image-ufi-to-a-stable-ufi-version
If you can access CLI, We suggest following the 2nd option.
Please follow the upgrade process and let me know if you need help at any point during the process.
Do you have steps to that are mac friendly? I am not able to download Putty or TFTP.
Also I tried all of the passwords combinations when trying to access my switch via the web gui and none of the combinations worked
Usernames: Passwords:
Admin sp-admin
Super Lennar
lennar
ruckus
Ruckus!
Ruckus1
admin
password
May I please request, if you could use a Windows laptop for the upgrade process. That will be quicker and easier.
@Imran_ruckus:If I had that option I would but I do not have windows products. Is there not a mac friendly version or option?
You can try the below process to configure TFTP on MAC.
Please refer to the video below for TFTP configuration on MAC.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iviyd91HntU
If the above process doesn’t work we may need a Windows laptop/PC. If you continue to have difficulty arranging the same, we recommend that you seek outside help or a technician.
Greetings of the day!!!
Hope you are doing good.
Could you please update on the status of the issue?
Thank you.
Hi @Imran_ruckus:
I am having issues with the 'copy tftp: flash:' command. I keep getting
Invalid input -> copy tftp: flash
I have been researching to see what could be causing this issue. Do you know what this could be? I am not able to ssh so I am using telnet port 23.
The command is -
copy tftp flash <tftp ip address> spz10114.bin bootrom
Once performing the above command successfully, please perform other commands as well.
@Imran_ruckus: It looks like everything was successful, is there a way to check? Seems the switch still does not show in the dashboard. I did go back through the admin & services to select the checkbox no luck.
Is your Switch upgrade completed?
Please share the output of the below commands to check the same.
Hi @ Imran_ruckus:Please find screenshot below. Looks like it has upgraded successfully but the switch is not showing still on the ruckus dashboard. I tried to add using the add option and the message/screenshot is below:
@Imran_ruckus:When the light goes red on the access point does that indicate a problem? I noticed the light on the one downstairs go from green and amber to red. The tv was on and my phone is connected to the access point network so not sure why it would go red.
As I see SSH is not enabled on the Switch (Please refer to the below screenshot)
Please enable the SSH manually by performing the below commands and Switch will be added to the Unleashed system sometime after you perform the commands.
please run the following command:device>enabledevice#configure terminaldevice(config)#crypto key generatedevice(config)#write memory
May I know which light is Red on the Access Point? Please refer to the below link for more information about the light status of the RUCKUS R510 Access Point.
https://docs.commscope.com/bundle/ap-110.0-indooruserguide/page/GUID-8D7077B3-39D5-4161-A37F-9F897F997A5C.html
Hi @Imran_ruckus: It seems the access point downstairs continues to randomly reboot as to why the red light is on. Do you know what could cause this behavior?
Also the switch does not show after the commands. I tried to add using the add option listed under switch to no avail. I continue to receive incorrect credentials and the switch only support ICX firmware version 08.0.90 or later, and I am on 08.0.95g according to the update that was recently completed. What could cause this issue?
Thank you for the response and the detailed information you shared.
The 08.0.90 or later information will be a permanent notification even if your Switch is on the latest version.
We suggest factory resetting your RUCKUS Access Points and configuring them with a new Wi-Fi SSID/Network.
Please refer to the below RUCKUS Lennar Knowledge base self-help article for the factory reset process and follow the same.
/kb/articles/7-how-to-factory-reset-your-ruckus-r510-r310-access-point-and-set-up-a-new-wi-fi-network-ssid
Hope you are doing well.
Could you please provide an update on the status of the issue to proceed further?
