Lennar named wifi networks are not showing up

I am trying to connect to the Ruckus R320 and I do not see the Configure.me or the Lennar wifi networks available to connect to. I have unplugged and replugged in the power box in the laundry room. Two green lights are showing up at the Access Points first one is blinking, second one is solid, no other lights are on.

Please share the below details for better understanding of the issue.

What is the current firmware version on Unleashed APs?
SSH into one of the APs and run below command to check if WLAN is actually deployed or not.
- get wlanlist
- If you are doing it in master AP, then first run
  - ap-mode
  - get wlanlist
Make sure SSID is not set to hidden.
Are you using AP groups? If yes, you may have to verify the group settings.

Hello,

I do not have a lot of tech experience.

1. How do I check the firmware version?I can't get setup on Unleashed because I can't see the Configure.Me wifi.

2. How do I SSh into the AP? I have Windows 11, do I use command prompt? Do you have more detailed insturctions?

3. I have two AP's, does that mean I use groups?

Thanks for the information provided.

Please follow the below steps to unhide SSID.

We can access to AP GUI, do the following operation to unhide the SSID:
Go to Configuration > Radio 2.4G, find what you want to hide the SSID, click it.
In the Broadcast SSID Section, select Enable.
and then click Update Settings, You can find this SSID is broadcast.

We could also hide or unhide the SSID from the controller CLI using the below set of commands,

ruckus# config
ruckus(config)# wlan <WLAN name>
ruckus(config-wlan)# no hide-ssid
The command was executed successfully.

Taking consideration that the unleashed dashboard/ application have their own credentials and to manage the access points and the switch has other credentials to manage the switch.

How do I setup Unleashed if I do not see the Configure.Me option in Wifi?

Hope you are doing well !

To check the configuration.me we must proceed to do a factory reset and I will leave you a guide, Please read it carefully ,for this process you must disconnect the rest of the access points if you have more than 1 Access Point, from the Switch ICX-7150-C12P and proceed with the factory reset with the access point you left / keep connected to work on this process ( Factory reset )

Thank you. I unplugged the other AP's and reset the main AP and I do not see Configure.Me, I see Recover.Me network available but it is asking for the network security key. When I enter the Lennar wifi password for the network security key it does not work.

What do I need to do?

Hi @JenD

Here security key is the serial number of the Access Point. Also it will appear only when the access points are not getting the IP address.

Please confirm if the Ruckus ICX 7150 Switch is still connected to ISP router.

Hello,

I am not able to access the rest button on the access point. I cannot get the top cover to come off, the unit is mounted to the ceiling. I tried using the key provided to release the cover but that is not working. Any tips? Is there any way to have a technician come out to my home?

OK, I was able to reset the AP. I see the Configure.Me and I tried using the mobile app to set up Unleashed and I received a message Unleashed Unable to fetch default configuration from the AP.

What would my next steps be?

fyi -I may have reset the Switch ICX-7150-C12P at some point to see if that would bring the networks back up.

You do not need to reset the ICX-7150-C12P is not necessary the ICX-7150-C12 provides power and data connectivity trough the ports is the only function.

ok,do I connect the orange wire from the switch to the Spectrum router I have or where does the orange wire get plugged into from the switch?

I have the blue cord from the AP connected to the switch. When I try to set up unleashed from my phone it says Great! You are connected to Unleashed facgtory Wifi ... then when I hit Start I get pop up message Unable to fetch default configuration from the AP.

I have reset the AP 4 or 5 times.

Please make sure that the cables are well plug in into the Router to the ICX-7150-C12P

Just so I understand, I was hoping to use the Ruckus AP's as my wifi and be able to return my wifi box to my ISP (because they charge me for it) and just keep the modem. It looks like I still need to have a wifi box even if I use the Ruckus AP's, is that correct?

Hi @JenD

Yes, there must be a modem and a router to connect the ICX 7150-C12p, it must be plugged into one of the twelve ports.

The ICX7150 Switch is a device that provide PoE (power over Ethernet) and allow you to connected multiples devices to your network, now the RUCKUS Access points, are devices to provide a wireless network, however we depend on your ISP router to get internet access and to provide the IP address to all the clients connected to the ICX7150 Switch wich caver the same Access Points as well.
