Disable Should Also Shut Power Down to the Port
unknown
When a switch port is set to "disable" the port should also shut down power. The current behavior stops traffic though the end point is still powered. This is not like other vendors, can cause confusion, and requires additional steps to fully shut down the port.

Hi Durham,
From FI 8.0.70 onwards PoE enabled by default and power is automatically allocated to all
PoE-capable ports on bootup. As the 'inline power' configuration is applied on all PoE-capable
ports by default helps to auto detect and power up the PD as soon as it is connected to the port.
Thanks
Jijo

Also covered in release notes.

'no inline power ethernet x/y/z' will turn off the power on selected ports.
Thanks

Thank you Jijo for the reply though we were aware of the no inline power command previously. We want the disable command to also shut down power to the port, this would be equivalent to manually issuing the "no inline power" command as well.
As an MSP ourselves we're requesting this as a helpful change for us and also reflecting direct customer feedback we've received requesting this.

Hi Bo
In 8.0.70b we added the option to link the port enable/disable status to PoE power via the
inline power couple-datalink
command. More details here

This allows you to customise the behavior on a per port basis as different devices and services have different requirements.
