Is there any automatic fallback recovery for firmware images in the flash memory of the switches during an image corruption?
Hi Viththahan ,
Thank you for posting your query !!!
I understand that you would like to know if there any automatic fallback recovery for firmware images in the flash memory of the switches during an image corruption
Yes, Ruckus switches do have an automatic firmware fallback mechanism in flash memory.
ICX series maintain two firmware images in their flash memory:
Primary (Active) Image
Secondary (Backup) Image
If the switch fails to boot from the active image (due to corruption or failed upgrade), it will automatically attempt to boot from the backup image stored in the alternate partition. This provides a built-in recovery path without manual intervention.
I hope this information helps you
