Can my ICX 7150 grade from 08.0 to 10.0? Do I have to start at 08.1 to 08.2 etc or can I go straight from 08.0 to 10.0?
Thanks!
Correct. It will change the image type from switching (later 2) to routing (layer 3). If you are not having any issues, I would advise leaving the code as is. If you are adamant about upgrading, I would advise 8095n and using the SPS08095nufi image so it is seamless.
You would have to go through 8080f. I would like to put a giant disclaimer out there for you. There are tons of CLI, syntax, etc. changes in 10.x. Also, only the router image exists in 10.x. I would only advise upgrading to 10.x if you are very comfortable with what you are doing and have physical access.
Ben,
I have upgraded to the following: show version (shown below):
What would be the next version that I will need to install?
Yes, I have physical touch to the switch.

Hey there. You can upgrade to 10.x from that patch, but please make note that you are running the switching image (SPS08095g). This means when you upgrade to 10.x (recommend 10.0.10f_cd1), you will be forced to the router (SPR) image. This will likely cause you to lose IP addressing and your gateway definition. You will need to define a VE and routes via console post-upgrade. There are also many syntax changes. Please ensure you review the respective upgrade guide should you decide to move to 10.x. 8095n is the current recommendation for ICX7150.

The 10.x upgrade will change my switch into a router?
The IP addresses that I will need would be my ISP router and internal IP addresses?
Thank you for the quick responses.
