Ruckus r510 pwr and ctl lights blinking green with no internet connection

I have the issue with my APs. One of them has power and ctl light is blinking green. to reboot: unplug the ethernet cable and plug it into the correct port then reboot (unplug and plug from the power outlet) and try to connect to the Internet via Access Points.
I am able to use Bitvise SSH client to connect the the IP of the AP that is not working.

In the command line it doesn't show

ICX7150-C12 Router> OR

ICX7150-C12 Switch>

Instead it is showing rkscli.

I issued following commands but it doesn't work.

Please let me know how to resolve the issue. Thank you.

The below commands you are referring to belongs to ICX Switch.
ICX7150-C12 Router> OR
ICX7150-C12 Switch>

"rkscli" mode belongs to Access Point.

Looks like you have logged into the AP CLi instead of ICX Switch.

Do I login to the IP for master AP to run the ICX Switch commands?

Please use the IP for the switch to log into the switch and run those commands.

If you cannot find the switch IP, please check this guide or use the console access.

I found the IP for the switch but I am unable to login using the credential for my Ruckus app. May I know how to find out my username and reset the password?

Without the credential I also can't login to the switch IP via SSH client to run the commands.

I don't find the default Wi-Fi name (SSID) and admin password are printed on a sticker located inside my media panel or structured wiring cabinet.

None of Common Default Usernames and Passwords for RUCKUS ICX-7150-C12P Switch Dashboard Login works.

I followed the Knowledge Base Article and watched the Youbube video how to reset myRUCKUS ICX-7150-C12P Switch. In the video it mentioned the license will need to be added back but I don't have the license information. Is it okay to perform a reset?

And what do I need to perform once I have access to the ICX switch command line to resolve one of my AP issue? Thank you.

Thank you for your comment.

For Lennar environments licenses are not required, you can disregard that.

Based on the symptoms described, I don't think the issue is on the switch. The blinking green lights on CTL and PWR indicators mean the AP is not able to get a valid IP address and can't find the master AP.

To narrow down this problem, could you please share the following info:

How many APs are installed in your home? If you have more than 1 AP, are the other APs working properly?

Did you try these credentials on the Ruckus Unleashed App?

May I know what was the ip address that you used to access the AP via SSH before?

Have you tried a factory reset on the problematic AP?

I have two APs. One is upstairs and from the app it shows as a master and that is working. The other one is downstairs and stopped working sometimes this year.

Please see the IPs below for the switch and the master AP.

I am able to login to the Ruckus Unleashed App using IP 192.168.1.169. The AP that is not working is showing a disconnected status.

I can login to the first IP above.

I have never tried to use SSH to login to any of the IPs before until recently after following some troubleshooting steps as I am not sure how to fix the issue.

However, below shows I can login using the SSH. And the IP with the disconnected status has a warning message.

I haven't tried to factory reset on the problematic AP.

Could you please provide guidance to fix my issue? Thank you.

Could you please click on the master AP, and then click on Show AP info, please share a screenshot where the software version is visible (its the number with 200.x.

This will help me confirm if the problematic AP is lost due to a software mismatch.

Looks like master AP has a higher version.

I did perform an upgrade using mobile Unleashed app from recent past couple weeks when troubleshooting the issue but it didn't resolve the issue. Thanks!

Thank you for the info. This confirms the issue is caused by a software mismatch.

To correct this please follow these steps:

Disconnect the working AP (mac: c8:08:73:08:f1:30) from the switch, make sure the LEDs on it turn off. This will make the other AP come up.
Once the other AP comes up, please try to login to your Unleashed system.
Once you are logged in, please upgrade the AP to version: 200.15.6.212.27, this will trigger a reboot. It may take 5 minutes approximately.

When the AP is back up, please reconnect the remaining AP to the switch.

I followed the instruction to disconnect the working AP (mac: c8:08:73:08:f1:30) from the switch, make sure the LEDs on it turn off. This made the other AP come up.

login to Unleashed and on the upgrade page it says the 'Unleashed is up to date'. Version for mac:c8:08:73:08:fa:80 now without running the upgrade now says 200.15.6.212.27 but prior version was 200.6.10.1.308 from the screenshot I provided on 9/4.

The disconnected AP (mac: c8:08:73:08:f1:30) now version is changed from 200.15.6.212.27 to 200.9.10.4.243. It looks like the latest version switched and shows only on the connected AP and there is no option to upgrade the other disconnected AP to the latest 200.15.6.212.27 version.

Please advise. Thank you.

I followed the local upgrade instruction but I can only find the download for following version. Please let me know the link to download for 200.15.6.212.27 version if this is the route to upgrade. Thanks!

I'm having trouble to find 200.15.6.212.27 for R510 too, allow me a few minutes to work on this.

In the meantime, could you please:

Keep mac: c8:08:73:08:f1:30 disconnected
Perform a factory reset on mac:c8:08:73:08:fa:80, once completed, disconnect this AP from the switch.

Do I need to Configure a New Wireless Network in the Configure.Me mode if I already have the existing SSID and this is not a new install?

Or will I have an option to upgrade the AP in the Configure.Me mode?
