There is no power but the switch lights are all green. What is the next step?
Hello @evillalp
Greetings!
Thank you for reaching out to RUCKUS Lennar Home Community.
I trust this message finds you well.
We appreciate the information you've provided regarding your RUCKUS setup concerns with no power to the RUCKUS Access Points.
To assist you better, could you please address the following queries?
1. If the RUCKUS setup previously functioned correctly, did you experience any power outages prior to encountering this issue?
2. Upon inspecting your switch while it's connected to the power source, do you observe any illuminated lights (amber or green)? Kindly specify which lights are active. For visual reference, please refer to the image below and provide a picture displaying the status of lights on your ICX-7150-C12P Switch, along with a comprehensive view of cable connections to the Switch ports.
Before uploading the photos, kindly log in to your RUCKUS account and utilize the provided platform for image submission.
Please ensure you address all the aforementioned queries and don't hesitate to reach out if you have any further questions or concerns.
Thank you once again for your patience and cooperation.
Best regards,
Imran SanadiRUCKUS Lennar Home Community
As you can see there are only Green lights.
We did have a power outage and that is when we were having issues. I followed the steps to restart the switch and I had to do that about 9 times. The switch then was back to having all green lights but the Access Point had and continues to have zero lights on.
Thank you for your response and for providing the information.
Based on the current status of the RUCKUS ICX-7150-C12P Switch's lights, it appears to be functioning normally. However, it's possible that the ports on the switch may have been disabled, leading to issues with transmitting Power over Ethernet (PoE) through them.
To address this issue, I recommend referring to the RUCKUS Lennar Knowledge Base self-help article linked below. This resource provides troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue:

Please follow the outlined process, and feel free to reach out if you encounter any difficulties or require further assistance.
I tried to do this yesterday. I get to the first step and I click on the "Login" icon I insert my credentials and says it gives me a response that it is invalid.
Hi @evillalp
Thank you for the response and the information you shared.
Could you please try to log into the Switch CLI using the default credential?
Switch default credentials will be as mentioned below.
Username: super
Password: sp-admin
If the above credentials don’t work, you can try below default credential combinations as well.
Please let me know if it works.
Thank you again. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

When I get to try to insert the CLI I get this image.
Thank you for the information.
Please accept and proceed.
Thank you again.
Do I create a new password?
Thank you for your response.
There is no need to create any password.
I've observed that your switch is currently operating on Router code, whereas it should be on Switching code.
Before we proceed with rectifying this issue, could you please provide the outputs of the following commands? Kindly press Enter after each command:
enableshow version
show flash
As your Switch is booted up on the secondary partition which has SPR code.(Refer to the below screenshot)
Please Enter the below commands in CLI to fix this issue:
Note: Hit Enter to accept each command

copy flash flash secondary
boot system flash secondary yes

Please confirm after completing above process. I will assist you with remaining steps.
Please let me know if you have any queries in this regard.
Thank you again for your patience and understanding.
Okay, I have completed these steps.
Thank you for confirming.
Could you kindly verify if the access points (APs) are currently powered up?
Your confirmation would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you once more for your assistance.

They are not powered up.
Hi @evillalp ,
Thank you for your response and the update.
To address the issue with the access points (APs) not powering on, please follow the instructions outlined in the RUCKUS Lennar Knowledge Base self-help article provided earlier. You can access the article through the following link:
Please execute the commands mentioned in the article and verify if the APs are operational. Once confirmed, we can proceed with additional steps to prevent such occurrences in the future.
Your cooperation is greatly appreciated, and thank you for your continued patience.
Here is how the output looks like.
Could you kindly unplug the Ethernet cables connecting the Access Points from the current switch ports and plug them into any other available ports numbered 1 through 12, as highlighted in the screenshot provided below? Once completed, please verify if the Access Points power on successfully.
Please confirm. Once confirmed, we can proceed with additional steps to prevent such occurrences in the future.
Your cooperation in this matter is highly appreciated, and we thank you for your ongoing patience and assistance.
I completed the steps and still no power.
Thank you for the response and the update.
Please perform the below commands and check if that works.

Switch(config-mif-1/1/1-1/1/12)#inline power - (wait for it to complete for Power enabled ports)
Still no power
Thank you for your communication and for acknowledging.
As your Switch is on an older version, we suggest you upgrade it to the recommended version.
Regarding the Switch upgrade process, we recommend transitioning to version 08.0.95g, identified as the stable version for Lennar Home users.
To facilitate this transition, we have recently introduced an upgrade tool tailored to ensure a seamless process. Utilizing this tool is straightforward: users simply need to input the IP Address, Username, and password associated with the Switch into the software interface. (Same username/password you used to log into the Switch CLI). Refer to the User Manual to check the step-by-step process.
For your convenience, please find the necessary resources below:
1. Download the Upgrade software for Windows: Link: Upgrade Software for Windows
2. Access the Upgrade Software User Manual: Link: Upgrade Tool User Guide for Lennar SmartHome users
Please check AP light status after upgrade.
Should you require any assistance throughout the process, please do not hesitate to reach out. Your satisfaction is our priority, and we are here to support you every step of the way.
Hello again @evillalp
If the issue persists even after the upgrade, we recommend replacing the PoE ethernet cable that connects the RUCKUS AP to the RUCKUS ICX-7150-C12P Switch. It's possible that the current cable has become damaged or defective, which could be contributing to the problem.
Please keep us informed of any developments, and feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
After the software upgrade the access point lights are on except the one labeled "Air" is that okay?
Hello @evillalp Yes, that's normal. The only one that should be off is "air."
Kind regards,
